Abstract

The aim of this work was to investigate the optical bleaching of the thermoluminescence of KMgF3:Tm fluoroperovskite. Thermoluminescence (TL) glow curves after optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) experiments were recorded. It was observed that only some of the traps responsible for the TL signal are depleted after the OSL measurements. Furthermore, these traps are not completely emptied even after long illumination times. A model is proposed that explains both the OSL and TL phenomena, as well as the optical bleaching of the TL signal after optical stimulation. Simulations were performed to support the proposed model.
