Abstract

Imam Al-Majidi is one of the prominent Muslims and the greatest scholars of Islam, and for the sake of the interpreters. He was considered a man of thought and an advocate for Islam, and he had a good and prominent role in developing and explaining the Holy Qur’an in the subcontinent, and he discovered for those who came after him new horizons for Quranic research and studies. Al-Majidi was the first who translate it into the Urdu language and used Arabic terms and benefited from the interpretations of Arabic, linguistic books, and the Sihah al-Sittah. He used terms in the Persian language, especially in poems, and proverbs. There is no doubt that these works in the service of the Noble Qur’an, its interpretation, and its origins are among the exploits of Imam Al-Dahlawy that history mentions for eternity. However, no studies or research define the efforts of this venerable Imam and great knowledge in this blessed field, which calls for wonder and regret. Therefore, it seemed to the researcher to address in this research the definition and study of the efforts of this imam in this field in a nutshell. The second relates to defining and studying his linguistics. This is because he did not write it for this purpose but composed it to build the rules of the language, and the issues of interpretation were contained within his grammatical and morphological sections, Grammatical and morphological efforts in the service of the Noble Qur’an.
