Abstract
In this paper, we present a comprehensive and systematic two-step method for the derivation of mathematical models for animal cell cultures. The method is illustrated with a set of 10 batch cultures of VERO cells, adherent on microcarriers, exhibiting a variety of experimental conditions: different initial glucose concentrations, different initial glutamine concentrations and different amino acids concentrations.
