Abstract
One of the minor irritations that I am subjected to arises whenever I mention to anybody that we at Battersea teach the Dip. Tech. Oh, you mean the sandwich scheme, where they spend six months in every year in industry is the general reply to this. I then patiently explain that this is not what I mean, but that our course is called either a full-time one or a thick sandwich course, depending how one looks at it, and that it consists of three full years in college with an industrial year between the second and third college years.
