Abstract

In the sandwich course for the Diploma in Technology in Applied Physics as conducted at Brunel College there is extensive practical work in physics and applied physics in the first three college periods of the course. Practical examinations of a traditional kind are not held, although laboratory notebooks are examined and assessed. In the fourth year of the course instead of formal practical work, students are given a project to work on.
