Abstract
The input signal of digital electric energy meters is the sampling value message from electronic transformers. As the sampling frequency is fixed, spectrum leakage and fence effect will inevitably happen when sampling period is out of sync with signal period, thus leading to measurement error of electrical parameters and metering error of electric energy. A frequency adaptive quasi-synchronous algorithm is proposed to reduce synchronization error and improve the operation speed of algorithm. The algorithm can be used in digital electric energy meters and be applied to other instances also, such as non-integer-period sampling instrument.
