Abstract

The published data on the pyrazole complexes of zinc, copper and nickel have been analyzed. It has been demonstrated that the following relation connecting the overall stability constants of the consecutive metal complexes holds: β n=A· a n n! where β n is the overall stability constant of the complex ML n , n is the number of ligands in a given complex ( I ⩽ n ⩽ N), N is the coordination number of the complex forming metal M, A and a are constants. The results obtained show that the mathematical model of the complex formation process developed in the first paper of the present series[1] can also be applied to systems in which the ligand is a neutral molecule.
