Abstract

With the rapid increase of air conditioner (AC) load, the load characteristics have a great negative impact on the static voltage stability of the system. In this paper, the first-order equivalent thermal parameters model is established for inverter air conditioner, and then the reduction potential and controlled time are researched considering human comfort. The system PV curve is obtained from the continuous power flow to calculate the system static voltage stability margin and the control mode of static voltage stability is proposed. On this basis, the control strategy of voltage stability is put forward and simulated in the IEEE 14-bus system. The result shows that the air conditioner load is effective in improving the voltage stability of the system.
