Abstract

A large amount of wind power grid operation will affect the static voltage stability of power system, the analysis of power system static voltage stability hit the headline in the research, providing the remarkably theoretical significance for the avoiding of the voltage collapse accidents. This paper expounds on the static voltage stability limit and the physical significance of the margin and the influence of different fan type on the system voltage stability, so as to analyzes the characteristics of the static voltage stability of wind farms. The paper by continuous tide calculation obtained the P- V curve in which the key node voltage in the wind is changing by wind power active power. In addition, the paper calculates the voltage stability limit under certain conditions and compares the different influence of the type fan on system voltage stability limit, analyzing the main factors affecting wind power static voltage stability limit. The results showed that the main factors affecting the static voltage stability of wind farm include fan type, access line parameter R/X and compensation capacitance at the machine end. And the paper proposes improved measures for wind power to improve static voltage stability.
