Abstract

In its master's degree dissertation, defended in the Methodist University of Sao Paulo, in 2001, the author inventoried the dissertations and thesis generated in the Brazilian programs of postgraduation in Social Communication, on the catholic ecclesiastic communication. Passing by the works produced since 1974, when the first one appeared, until the end of 2000, he carried through a descriptive analysis of the set to, after that, linger in the explanatory analysis of the thesis. This article's main objective is to show, from the studied thesis, some topics that can be considered essential in an analysis of the of the Catholic Church's contribution for the Brazilian communicational thought.
