Abstract
The present study was conducted to study the Academic Achievement of Government and Private secondary school students in Gwalior city of Madhya Pradesh India. A sample of 100 students i.e., 50 boys and 50 girls studying in 10th class drawn randomly from 4 secondary schools of Gwalior city of M.P. These 4 schools were drawn from 90 schools randomly by using lottery method of random sampling. Mean, S.D. and t-test was used to analyze the data. The findings of the study revealed that there is a significant difference between government and private secondary school students on academic achievement. The result depicted that there is a significant difference between boy and girl students of government secondary school students on academic achievement. The results revealed that there is no significant difference between boy and girl students of Private secondary schools on academic achievement. Results further showed no significant difference between boy students of Private and government secondary schools on academic achievement. Results also revealed a significant difference between girl students of Private and government secondary schools on academic achievement.
