Abstract
The article considers the source study possibilities and features of publicly available archival documents of the Central Archive of the Ministry of De-fense (MD) of the Russian Federation relating to the restoration of the military history of the rifle division in 1941-1945, that had conscripts of the regions of the Far Eastern Okrug and the Baikal region: the Buryat-Mongolian and Ya-kut ASSR, Primorsky, Khabarovsk, Chita, Irkutsk, Amur, Jewish autonomous, Kamchatka and Sakhalin regions.
