Abstract

This chapter concerns quality in the Czech political science community and the way in which it has developed since the re-establishment of the academic freedoms in Czech higher education 20 years ago. The main questions that the case study poses are:In what way is the phenomenon of quality judged within the national political science community (and whether it is assessed at all)?What are the mechanisms employed?What are the factors (internal or external) that impact on this?
