Abstract
The awareness of a consumer on environmentally benign products is on the rise. That is why eco-caring fibres, environmentally responsive chemicals and eco-friendly processes have been highly welcomed by all the stakeholders associated with the home textile segment. The chapter begins with the discussion of different trademarks and eco-friendly labels and standards associated with home textile products. The chapter then deals with the permitted levels associated with different substances used in processes involved in home textiles. Restricted substances, which are to be evaluated for different substrates used in home textiles, are also been mentioned. The importance of eco-labelling of home textile products has finally been discussed.
