Abstract

Dispersed nanoparticles such as clays and carbon nanotubes have proven their ability to improve the thermomechanical stability of biodegradable polymers. This chapter critically examines the most significant literature on the dynamic mechanical properties of clay or carbon nanotubes containing biodegradable nanocomposites and attempts to relate the experimental results obtained with the morphology of these materials.
