Abstract

The appropriate simulation of nanofluids in channels is a controversial issue which is investigated in this chapter. The experimental findings on the behavior of nanofluids are the first topic explained. Also described in this chapter is the suitable theoretical modeling of nanofluids and some of their drawbacks. Then, the effects of nanoparticle migration on heat transfer behavior of nanofluids are demonstrated as the modified two-component Buongiorno's model is introduced. Several examples on the application of the modified Buongiorno's model include natural convection, forced convection, and mixed convection, are provided in this chapter.
