Abstract

Cancer immunotherapy has evolved to promote cancer specific immune response to eliminate tumor cells as a new treatment method. There are different types of cancer immunotherapy include: blockade of immune check points, oncolytic viral therapy, T-cell therapy, cancer vaccines, antibody based targeted therapy, and cytokine therapy. In the field of cancer immunotherapy, antibody based targeted therapy is one of the most effective methods for the treatment of various malignancies. Antibodies can be combined with toxins or drugs or radionuclides to carry them to the intended target. In this regard, radio immune therapy has received much attention due to its stimulatory effect on the abscopal effect. On the other hand, researchers are interested in chemo immunotherapy for the treatment and elimination of systemic malignancies. This method not only reduces the side effects of chemotherapy but also causes the greatest amount of chemical agents to reach the cancer cells.
