Abstract
The net result has been that the community has recognised that CENELEC suffers from an inadequate and sometimes bad image and limited external communication facilities. This is no criticism of the Central Staff or the previous Officers, it is merely a realisation that CENELEC has not completely taken advantage of modern techniques and has remained somewhat basic in its approach, if compared with other European standards organisations.
