Abstract
This chapter provides for the complete field assembly and installation of major process equipment in a simple cycle power plant. The chapter includes the field scope of work, estimate man-hour tables, estimate sheets, and installation man-hours for the LM 6000 Gas Turbine Generator Set, Selective Catalytic Reduction Unit, Chiller and Cooling Tower, and the Balance of Plant Equipment. The equipment craft man-hours were determined from time and methods for the measurement of construction labor for field erection of process equipment installed in a combined cycle power plant. The estimator estimates similarities and differences for proposed equipment and installation for previously installed equipment for which historical data are available. The purpose of this chapter is to provide a comprehensive and accurate method for compiling equipment direct craft man-hour estimates for the simple cycle equipment.
