Abstract

The main aim of system reliability analysis is to find and determine potential risks and vulnerabilities of systems. In design process, if the potential risks and vulnerabilities of systems can be eliminated effectively, the reliability and life-cycle cost of system will be improved and reduced, respectively. GO methodology is a success-oriented method for system reliability analysis, and it is more suitable for conducting reliability analysis of complex nuclear power plant system taking into considering multi-characteristics. In this chapter, the reliability analysis method for complex nuclear power plants systems with complex characteristics based on GO method is illustrated in terms of reliability modeling by GO method, reliability analysis by GO method, and the reliability analysis process of GO method, respectively. Furthermore, the reliability optimization allocation method by GO method, and reliability assessment method by GO method are proposed based on reliability modeling and analysis method by GO method, so this chapter is the theoretical basis of chapters 4–6.
