Abstract

This chapter introduces three-point bending experiments and acoustic emission (AE) tests of SLB (single-leg bending) and OLB (over-leg bending) T700/8911 composite laminates with an initial delamination crack under different temperatures (20–70°C). Effects of different initial delamination crack length, lay-up patterns, load modes (SLB and OLB), and temperature on the delamination damage mechanisms represented by the responses of AE signal parameters including the counts, energy, and amplitude are studied.
