Proceeding of the 2nd International Conference on Oleo and Petrochemical Engineering (ICOOPChE 2017)PrefaceThese Conference Proceedings contain the papers accepted for presentation at the 2nd International Conference on Oleo and Petrochemical Engineering (ICOOPChE) Universitas Riau, which was held on the 29-30 November 2017 in Pekanbaru-Riau Indonesia. The conference was organized by LPPM and Department of Chemical Engineering Universitas Riau, in accordance to its mission to create creative, innovative, and competitive academics through research and devotion to community, based on science and technology 2035.From historical point of view, Chemical Engineering has successfully played a key role in the development of traditional chemical and petrochemical industries. This conference aimed at disseminating, exchanging, and accumulating the knowledge on the field to coordinate the co-operation between researchers from academic and industrial parts in ASEAN and beyond. Active discussions hence strongly welcomed for our sustainable future, as highlighted in the conference’s theme “Chemical Engineering for Sustainable Development”.
