Abstract

Circumscribed developmental disorders are a significant reduction of specific competences, in combination with a normal global intelligence. The most frequent forms in preschool-age children are articulation problems and expressive language disorders. In school age children this can be seen as dyslexia, dyscalculia and the circumscribed disorder of motoric development. Central perception and processing disorders of visual and auditive functions are very seldom seen.
