Abstract

The utilization of various fillers and polymer matrices to prepare polymer nanocomposites is a capable method for obtaining advanced materials with possible applications in energy harvesting. This chapter initially addresses various principles of energy-harvesting techniques. Furthermore, the selected fillers and polymer matrices and their processing possibilities as crucial parameters for possible applications are discussed. Next, the evaluation of the properties of these materials, especially their mechanical and thermal properties, is pointed out. Finally, the influence of overall nanocomposite properties and other factors on energy-harvesting performance is presented.
