1,4-Dioxins, Oxathiins, Dithiins and Their Benzo Derivatives

Abstract

This article consists of an update (2007–18) of the wide variety of ring systems described in Comprehensive Heterocyclic Chemistry II (Chapter 6.09)1 and III (Chapter 8.12)2; “1,4-Dioxins, Oxathiins, Dithiins and their Benzo Derivatives” by Guillaumet and Suzenet, and in Comprehensive Heterocyclic Chemistry I; Chapter 2.26 “Six-membered Rings with More than One Oxygen or Sulfur Atom” by Cook.3 1,4-Dioxins, Oxathiins, Dithiins and their Benzo Derivatives (i.e., 1,4-benzodioxane, 1,4-benzoxathiins and 1,4-benzodithiins) as well as their saturated compounds and their dibenzo derivatives are considered.
