Abstract
This chapter describes a very promising and sophisticated method of nanofiber preparation for use in the field of nanomedicine. Core-shell nanofibers, also called as core-sheath nanofibers, are bicomponent nanofibers with core-shell structure produced by a special technology known as coaxial electrospinning. Theoretical and physical background of this method is mentioned here, and this chapter also deals with the development of needle-spinning electrodes and needleless electrodes for increase of productivity of core-shell nanofibers. The last part is focused on the use of core-shell nanofibers in different areas of nanomedicine.
