Abstract

Oncoplastic surgery in patients with small to moderate volume has limited options compared with women with mammary hypertrophy. Traditional oncoplastic techniques include reduction mammaplasty, mastopexy, implants, and flaps. The use of an implantable, three-dimensional, absorbent coil as a volume replacement device has been recently described. This chapter will review the indications and technique using this device following partial mastectomy in women without mammary hypertrophy seeking oncoplastic surgery.
