Abstract

Polymers filled with carbonaceous nanomaterials, including carbon nanofiber, carbon nanotube, graphene layer, and graphene nanoplatelet, exhibit percolating behavior. Under the application of an electric field, the percolating nanocomposites exhibit nonlinear electrical conductivity and Zener tunneling effect. This chapter gives a detailed description and discussion on the electrical conduction behavior of polymer composites with carbonaceous nanofillers. Particular attention is paid to the nonlinear conduction and Zener tunneling behaviors.
