Abstract

The International Telecommunications Union-Telecommunications (ITU-T) produces internationally agreed standards for telecommunications. These standards appear as a number of recommendations that covers telecommunications apparatus and the transmission of both analog and digital signals. International Telecommunications Union (ITU) is the parent body for the ITU-T and is itself organized by and responsible to the United Nations. The major ITU-T recommendations are organized into series that deal with data transmission over telephone circuits, data networks, digital networks, and integrated services digital networks.
