Abstract
This chapter will present select practical and novel uses of the cold spray process from the aerospace, marine, automotive, and additive manufacturing industries, but it is important to note that cold spray has been adopted across most industry sectors including heavy equipment, power, oil and gas, electronics, and medical. Additional cold spray applications will also be presented in subsequent chapters and contain greater in-depth analysis. The rationale for choosing cold spray over competing techniques will be emphasized and the relevance of the application will be expressed in terms of impact, improved performance, increased readiness, and/or cost savings. In some instances, the accompanying narrative will be supported by extensive technical data and relevant information, while in other examples, these will be limited because of page restrictions.
