Abstract
The chapter focuses on the analysis of the environmentally friendly directions of phosphogypsum recycling. The use of phosphogypsum waste in the production of building industry products, as well as for obtaining building gypsum is one of the most promising directions in the utilization of this mass type of enterprise waste. The presented properties of phosphogypsum made it possible to assess the extent to which this waste product can be used to obtain building products. The properties of the initial phosphogypsum do not allow its direct use for the production of construction mixtures without additional processing. Model of environmental safety analysis of phosphogypsum application in traditional technologies was formed. A cluster visualization of the uses of phosphogypsum with a focus on the binding of radioactive elements in it is considered. The main disadvantages of the existing methods of phosphogypsum recycling were identified and trends in this waste management were also considered.
