Abstract
Conventional textile printing does not satisfy all customers’ requirements regarding variant print design and print quality, as customers demand printed fabrics of different color combinations, design styles, and good quality. The new technology called digital textile printing that appeared in late 1980 can meet customer requirements without increasing the cost and waste. Digital textile printing needs cheap sampling, faster printing production, allows a variety of print designs with complicated designs in the textile market, gives good print quality, no restriction in the number of colors and design repeat for designers, low cost of production and waste of effluent. The quality of the digital textile print, which depends on the constituted fibers, yarns, fabrics, pretreatments, after-treatment, dye or inks, and print instruments, is essential. Therefore, this chapter aims to discuss in detail the factors that affect digital textile print quality, quality attributes, and methods of evaluating or analyzing the quality of digital textile print.
