Pemphigus vegetans is considered to be a variant of pemphigus vulgaris. According to Lever there are two types of pemphigus vegetans: the type of Neumann (malignant) and Hallopeau (benign). The auther has experienced a case diagnosed to be Hallopeau type. The patient is a 83 year old woman. She had first noticed erosion and pustule on left lower leg occured after burn, this area enlarged, and similar lesions had developed on inguinal region and lower abdomen. A biopsy of skin lesion was performed and a histopathologic diagnosis of pemphigus vegetans was made. She was treated with paramesone (paramethasone acetate), and cleared.
