Abstract
The article analyzes the prospects of using the "Value Stream Map" as a technology for visualizing business processes in the concept of "Lean Manufacturing". The ab-sence of recommendations on the levels of decomposition of processes and process stages in the development of VSM maps was revealed. A proposal has been put forward to improve the professional compe-tence of specialists in the field of "Lean manufacturing" as the most important task of production management.
