Abstract
As the experience of modern armed conflicts and local wars shows, the methods of unleashing and waging them differ substantially from the previous – traditional ones. In particular, the time frame for the preparatory stages has been significantly reduced (and at times the stages themselves have completely disappeared), such as mobilization and the period of threat. This sets the task of ensuring constant high combat effectiveness and combat readiness for troops, even those who do not perform combat duty. One of the primary means of maintaining and improving the level of combat readiness and combat effectiveness of the Armed Forces is combat training (CT) of troops (forces). The actual direction of the CT development should be aimed at ensuring all-inclusiveness, orientation towards the application of new technologies synergistic with the actions of troops, and increase of the efficiency of their use. The main task of military science and military command and control bodies of the Armed Forces should be the continuing conduct of targeted research on the development of new methods of combat operations; the scientific substantiation and introduction of their results into guidance documents, educational activities of higher military educational institutions and into the practical operational and tactical training. By ensuring the synchronization of training processes with plans for the supply of new samples of Armaments and Military Equipment to the Armed Forces, continuously generalizing the experience of modern armed conflicts, command and control bodies of CT should continue to introduce new approaches to training sub-units, intensify the combat learning performance and the number of activities for both individual and joint training. It should be especially noted that a scientific elaboration of the theory of waging a new type of warfare and its introduction into the practice of training of troops are necessary. At the same time, it is important to develop the theory of asymmetric and indirect actions, particularly in conditions in which the enemy has significant numerical and military-technical superiority.
