Abstract
This article examines the implementation of the stage-gate approach and professional project management systems, focusing on current issues. The article employs a comprehensive analysis of organizational practices to identify key aspects of implementation. The study revealed that successful integration requires a systematic approach encompassing regulatory frameworks, information systems, human resources, and organizational changes. The most significant aspects of implementation include creating a methodology that reduces shareholder risks through the systematization of project decision-making processes, balanced allocation of authority, integration of project management systems with existing company systems, overcoming resistance to change, and adapting best practices to specific organizational context. The study results highlight the critical role of top management support, systematic project decision-making, change management programs, and staff training. This research contributes to the development of the field by providing a comprehensive understanding of implementation challenges and offering practical recommendations for organizations aiming to enhance their project management capabilities.
