Abstract

Red Paper Plan’s Design Champions program is a new concept of learning through challenges, experiences and game, which we call missions. It is the first educational program of its kind for children based on the method of design thinking. Each activity, the so-called mission, is an educational project. Through performance, children also learn that they can create new solutions and get used to having a process to assist them and techniques they can apply. Missions are thematic challenges through which children immerse themselves in the world of a real profession or human activity. Design Champions effectively develops a range of 21st century skills and attitudes, creative problem solving, teamwork, presentation skills, critical thinking and confidence in abilities. The program also actively contributes to the building of character, the attitude towards oneself and the attitude towards the world.
