Abstract

In the article, the process of using of the Recovery model to provide psychological assistance to people who have suffered loss/grief is discussed. The aspects of the training and the work of peer consultants who are mothers and wives of fallen servicemen are considered; it is emphasized what kind of psychological knowledge and skills need to be transferred to them in the training. The neces-sity to overcome their own feelings of grief/loss and the importance of creating a story of one's re-covery to help others is discussed. The results of the activities of peer consultants in helping others and their own achievements are presented.
