Abstract

The author, who has taken part in the activities of the Japan Medical Library Association (JMLA) for many years and now retired, looks backs on the course of JMLA which has confronted with difficulties from its foundation to the post-World War II period. In particular, realized reduction of the price on German periodicals, publication of Union Catalogs are discussed.
