Abstract

The article outlines the peculiarities of the influence of underground communications in Austria, Hungary and Slovakia on the development of the shadow economy of the European sub-region, which determined the characteristics of the historical psychology of the ethnic groups of these states involved in the industry, with an assessment of the role of Western intelligence services, which had their own interests in concealing information about this communication channel and trade route during the Cold War.
