Abstract

Introduction. Modern requirements for the quality of military education and the professionalism level of military personnel cause fundamental changes in the organization and content of the educational process, improvement of teaching and competence of teachers in higher military educational establishments.In the system of military education in Ukraine, the actual task is to create a modern system of pedagogical training and retraining of teachers applying the experience of leading US military educational establishments.Purpose. The purpose of this article is to analyze the experience of the leading military educational establishments of the USA in the system of teaching staff professionalism training and development, to determine the directions of its use for teacher training in higher military educational establishments.Methods. The general scientific methods of the research are as follows: analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, a systematic approach to the problem and the article scientific accomplishment. Results. It is known that the training of higher military educational institutions teachers in the USA is carried out in the system of continuous education according to the following scheme: postgraduate studies – performance of duties as a teacher assistant – participation in multi-level programs of teachers psychological and pedagogical training (certification continuums) – qualification "Higher School Teacher"- the work as the teacher.The directions of use of the US experience for preparing teachers to pedagogical activity in higher military educational institutions of Ukraine are determined.Originality. The results of the study are of practical significance for solving the problems of creating a perspective system of psychological, pedagogical and professional training for higher military educational institutions teachers in the Armed Forces of Ukraine as an important component of improving the quality of military education and competence of officer personnel.Conclusion. The analysis of the functioning of the teacher training system for teaching in the military educational institutions of the United States is of scientific interest for further research on the applied aspects of the military pedagogy theory and the creation of a model of the system of vocational and pedagogical training of higher military educational institutions teachers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
