Abstract

Based on the results of the fact-finding analysis of the domestic literature on sports sexual violence, this study aims to identify the cause of occurrence and present policy suggestions in the center of applicable theory. The research method focused on content analysis and literature research, and the results of the analysis are as follows. First, the concept of sports sexual violence is somewhat different from that of general sexual violence, and the types of sex crimes involved are divided into four types: physical, mental, digital and secondary damage. Second, the main causes of sports sexual violence were the lack of proper gender sensitivity and the special environment for training. Third, it was proposed to develop education centered on gender sensitivity and to introduce a system for certifying safe sports facilities for crime prevention as measures to eradicate the main causes of sports sexual violence analyzed. In conclusion, although there is a person''s ethical tendency and gender sensitivity as the most influential factors in sex crimes, if the two are independent of each other, rather than complementary, it should be a "sports ethics education" that is currently underway, as well as a "systematic and independent" form of education to prevent sexual violence. In addition, efforts should be made to improve sports athletes'' ability to exercise in a safe environment through the introduction of "CPTED" at sports facilities or training sites, taking as an example the introduction of "CPTED" to prevent crimes in various places in society (schools, parking lots, etc.).
