Abstract

The aim of the research is to demonstrate the possibilities of interactive teaching techniques in the course of studying disciplines of a communicative orientation by students of technical training programmes. The paper sheds light on the essence of the notions of “interactive teaching methods”, “interactive teaching techniques”, “interactive teaching forms”, characterises the role and advantages of interactive techniques in the educational process of higher education. Scientific novelty of the research lies in confirming the feasibility of using interactive techniques in the course of studying such general humanities disciplines as “Business Communication Ethics”, “Business Communication Basics”, “Speech Culture and Business Communication”. As a result, the technological aspects of preparation and implementation of the specific author’s interactive tasks that make it possible to form business communication skills among non-linguistic students have been developed. It has been found that the use of interactive techniques helps to motivate students’ involvement in the educational process, actualise creative activities, form teamwork skills, critical thinking skills, the skills of analysing situations of business communication, develop students’ communicative competencies related to their future professional activities.
