Abstract
The relevance of the study is due to the need for professional training of future foreign language tea chers who are confi dent in their abilities and strive for self-develop ment. A senior mentor can play a signifi cant role in their development, providing timely support, guidance and sharing his experience with future teachers. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the feasibility of using scaffolding during students’ educational practice, ensuring that students receive support and assistance from the teacher in the learning process, as a result of which students increase their level of independence when performing more complex tasks. The novelty of the study is presented as the development of specifi c educational tactics in the preparation of future teachers based on the use of scaffolding principles: provide support and guidance at the beginning, gradually cede their role to the student, allowing him to independently cope with tasks and draw conclusions.
