Abstract
The paper studies the peculiarities of the Canadian culture and its reflection in tourist texts. The research indicates that the reference to the cultural theories and models contributes to better understanding of national consciousness and character of Canadian culture representatives and helps to reveal the Canadians’ communicative style in tourist texts. The results of the study show that a travel guide is both a text and element of culture aimed at performing intercultural communication and reflecting ethnocultural peculiarities of the country with the help of language means.
