Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of football players’ self management behavior on sports confidence and performance. The number of the surveyed for this study was 268 who played football. The data were coded with the use of the statistics program on Windows, IBM SPSS and AMOS Window 18.0. To analyse the data, descriptive analysis, explanatory and confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equation model were employed. The findings of this research are as follows. First, football players’ self-management behavior affects their sports confidence. Second, football players’ self-management behavior has influence on their sports performance. Third, football players’ sports confidence affects their sports performance. Fourth, there are a casual relationship among football players’ self-management behavior, sports confidence and performance.
