Abstract

The article analyzes domestic and foreign experience on the problem of involving minors in the commission of crimes. The external and internal factors influencing the commission of crimes by minors are given. The empirical part of the study is presented by the results of content analysis of court decisions concerning minors involved in the commission of crimes committed in the period from 2015 to 2022; psychodiagnostic examination of minors. The authors come to the conclusion that the involvement of a minor in the commission of a crime is carried out through active actions aimed at forming his desire to commit a socially dangerous act. These actions include various forms of psychological influence, chosen by a capable person depending on the personal characteristics of minors. Involvement in criminal activity is associated with such personal characteristics of minors as denial of generally accepted norms and rules, determination, high volitional control, a pronounced tendency to autonomy and a low need for the approval of society, isolation from reality, a sense of loneliness.
