Abstract
The current research aims to identify the level of divergent thinking among students of history departments in colleges of education according to the variables (gender, grade, university). The research was limited to students of history departments for morning study for grades (second, third, fourth) for the academic year (2021-2022). The descriptive correlative approach was chosen, and the sample size was (235) male and female students (90) males and (145) females, and they were chosen randomly. four skills, The researchers applied their research tool, and statistical analysis and data processing were performed using Microsoft Excel 2013 and the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) program, version (26), and through the application of the T-test equation for one sample, and the analysis of triple variance, the results were reached that indicate that Students of history departments possess a low level of divergent thinking skills, and accordingly the researchers presented a set of conclusions, recommendations and suggestions.
