Abstract
The article presents a research strategy, according to which the author consistently considers such concepts as "hermeneutics", "understanding", "meaning", "text of a literary and artistic work", "philosophical interpretation", and then, on the basis of the above approaches, constitutes the concept of "cultural-philosophical interpretation of a literary and artistic work. Hermeneutics accompanies the process of cognition, when the processes of crystallization of meanings take place in the latter, which gives grounds to consider it as the most suitable means for recognizing the meanings of a literary and artistic work. Such works are genetically a semantic landscape, respectively, suggest understanding as a condition for penetration into their inner world. The meanings of literary and artistic works are usually encrypted by the authors, which implies painstaking interpretive activity based on the relevant philosophical and cultural traditions. Understanding and meaning are inextricably linked with each other, since understanding of meaning is the result, the final result of the process of interpretation, ”correspondingly, interpretation is needed in the absence of direct understanding. The study found that the cultural-philosophical interpretation of literary works, using hermeneutic tools, enriches philosophical research within the framework of the theory and history of culture, as it synthesizes new knowledge, thanks to which we become part of culture, getting acquainted with its best examples, distinguished by culturalphilosophical depth and fundamentality. Based on the study, the author comes to the conclusion that the culturalphilosophical interpretation of a literary and artistic work is a method of humanitarian knowledge, which aims to establish the philosophical and cultural meanings embedded by the author in the corresponding literary and artistic work by applying hermeneutic procedures.
