Abstract
The goal of the work is in the analysis of the specificity of the professional activity of a folk vocal teacher in the context of the competency - oriented approach implementation in the system of the higher education of Ukraine. Methodology of the investigation is based on the general pedagogical principles of humanization and humanitarization of education, theories of pedagogical culture and professional preparation, formation singing culture on the conceptual principles of vocal teachers’ preparation at the higher educational establishments, and also it predicts the implementation of methods of analysis of scientific-methodological literature for determination the instruments and the state of development of the problem of forming the professional competence of future folk vocal teachers, generalization and systematization of theoretical positions for the substantiation of the results of the research. Scientific novelty of the work lies in cognition of singing pedagogical competence of a teacher of a higher school as a complex polifunctional personalogical derivation on the basis of the integration of professional theoretical knowledge, value orientations and practical skills in the sphere of vocal pedagogy. Conclusions. As a result of the investigation, it was concluded that the professional competence of the teacher of folk vocals at the higher school is an indicator of his maturity as a specialist in his professional activities, and is based on fundamental humanitarian education and emotional and value attitude to the specialty, on mastery of technology of work, readiness for creative decision of professional tasks and own self-realization. Implementation of the competence approach in the educational process of higher education and during the formation of the professional competence of the folk vocal teacher in the competency-structural aspect involves the selection of three components: emotional and motivational, cognitive-technological, and creative-activity competencies.
